Our commitment sustainable tourism

The natural heritage of the environment gives us the opportunity to follow the sustainable tourism trends and trends that Bioterme is strongly committed to in our business - with the aim of keeping nature in good shape for generations to come.

At Hotel Bioterme, we show our respect for this by obtaining the Ecolabel flower or Ecolabel. Eco daisy and the sign Slovenia Green AccommodationThe same story is being followed in the glamping Sunwalley. Both labels are an advantage for our business and are a reflection of the fact that the tourist complex is built with environmentally and human-friendly materials, and that this is how we do business.

The main mission of the Eco-Daisy is to save all resources (electricity, water, heating and cooling energy, cleaning products, paper, etc.), to reuse as many products as possible (either by us or by donating them to someone) and to recycle them.

Our practice sustainable living

Our key actions for healthier and greener living:

  • All hotel rooms are furnished with natural materials; the wood is waxed and the walls painted with bio-dyes,
  • Thermal water is also used to heat the hotel,
  • Less than a third of the electricity we need is generated by our own solar panels,
  • The hotel's floor plan allows for more natural daylighting, thus encouraging energy saving,
  • encourage cooperation with local producers,
  • we use naturally based cleaning products,
  • All hotel waste is treated in the hotel's own waste compactor,
  • And its own wastewater treatment plant treats wastewater from swimming pools for flushing toilets.

Sustainability - a value for all of us

Employees have also identified with both of these symbols, so we carefully educate every employee about sustainable business and expect them to take an active part in implementing the measures.

Our essential role is to set an example for our guests and encourage them to behave in an environmentally friendly way, so we are very pleased if guests follow these missions during their stay. We are even more pleased if they take sustainable practices into their daily lives.

Our job is also to gather suggestions on how to improve the way we do business in a sustainable way, and we welcome every suggestion.

To ensure that we are as sustainable as possible and to preserve nature, we kindly invite all our employees, residents and guests to do the same at home as we do with our resources. This is the only way to keep our blue planet a safe and pleasant home for generations to come.
